Since our founding in 1964, we have been working for civil engneering and sosial development as a leader of geological consulting company in Japan. Once society stabilized and Japan entered a period of economic growth, we have been engaged in consulting services in various fields such as highways, bridges, ports, water supply, sewerage, agriculture, and nuclear power. Recently, we have been expanding our contributing business with our own proprietary technology, particularly for deep-water geological surveys, renewable energy development, natural disaster surveys and early warning system development, and regional promotion and tourism planning.

History:
Our company was founded as a general construction consultant right after the end of the Second World War in 1964, by Shinsuke Seko after he left his position as a professor at Nihon University College of Engineering, with the goal of reconstructing Japan. For a while after the company was formed, we worked mainly on the development of agricultural land, energy, and electrical power.

Since its establishment in 1946, Chuo Kaihatsu has performed geotechnical surveys, measuring, analysis and design of the ground that supports structures such as roads, bridges, dams, ports and buildings across Japan. Having spent over 75 years studying Japan’s disaster-prone topography and geology, our company has gained immense expertise in disaster prevention technologies and now aims to take this technology global. Nowaday, we strongly hope that we would like to contribute to prevention and mitigation of landslide disasters in South America and China, where we have our bases, by utilizing our tilt sensor-based slope monitoring technology, which has been recognized by international academic societies.

Company Goals & Objectives:
Chuo Kaihatsu today provides cutting-edge geotechnical analysis and disaster mitigation services, providing geological information through the internet, ground and structure simulation using big data and AI, ground risk assessment using point cloud data from drones, and ground and structure maintenance using sensor technology. We would like to install our Kantaro tilt sensors in various conditions around the world. By doing so we can prevent as many slope disasters as possible.
